Web design, repair, and care for owner-led service businesses

Your website should strengthen the confidence your work has already earned.

Avian helps referral-driven service businesses build a credible website, correct what is failing, improve what is underperforming, and keep the finished site dependable. Work is handled directly by Phil Crane, quoted in writing, capped before it begins, and verified before handoff.

Four practical starting points

Meet the website where it is.

A new build is not always the answer. Start with the actual business need: create the site, correct what is getting in the way, improve what is underperforming, or give the website consistent care.

Complimentary website evaluation

Understand the problem before paying for the solution.

Share the current website and the result you want it to support. Phil reviews the complete public-facing experience, separates urgent problems from worthwhile improvements, and returns practical findings and next steps.

  • 01 Review the complete public-facing website and primary visitor paths
  • 02 Summarize the findings, priorities, and practical improvements
  • 03 Provide a written quote when you want Avian to perform the work

The cost of website friction

What weak websites quietly cost.

A website problem does not need a dramatic warning to matter. These are the ordinary ways credibility, inquiries, time, and safe ownership can erode.

01

Referrals lose confidence.

A recommendation may create interest, but an outdated, vague, or inconsistent website can make a capable business look less established than it really is.

02

Inquiries disappear.

A broken form, unclear action, weak confirmation, or unreliable notification path can waste attention created by referrals, search, social posts, and outreach.

03

Mobile visitors give up.

Crowded text, awkward navigation, slow media, and buried actions make the website harder to use on the device many prospective clients reach for first.

04

Small problems become risky work.

When access, backups, dependencies, ownership, and changes are not documented, an ordinary update can become an expensive recovery project.

A visible working process

Understand the problem.
Protect the work. Verify the result.

Every engagement begins with the business outcome and the condition of the current website. Avian then defines the boundary, protects what has value, completes the approved work, and checks the finished path before launch or handoff.

01

Understand the problem

Clarify the business goal, audience, current website, content, platform, access, and the result the engagement should make possible.

02

Define the scope and cap

Separate essential visitor-path needs from optional improvements, then put deliverables, estimate, approvals, exclusions, and the maximum amount in writing.

03

Build, repair, or improve

Complete the approved work while protecting the useful foundation, maintaining a recoverable baseline, and keeping decisions visible.

04

Test, document, and hand off

Check responsive layouts, links, forms, response states, metadata, accessibility basics, and performance; record what changed and what remains.

Transparent starting points

Four clear starting points.
A written quote for the real work.

Avian bills at $50 per hour with a $100 minimum. Most projects are custom quoted because platform condition, access, content, integrations, page complexity, and risk change the work.

Website Design & DevelopmentFrom $300One page from $300; added standard pages commonly $100

Complete websites are custom quoted, with bundled pricing for larger repeated-page scopes.

Website RepairFrom $100$100 minimum

Correct a visible, functional, or technical problem without automatically replacing what still works.

Website RefreshFrom $100Multi-page work bundled by estimated time

Improve the message, presentation, mobile experience, or visitor path while retaining the useful foundation.

Website CareFrom $100/monthUp to 2 or 4 total hours

No separate onboarding charge. Initial baseline work uses the selected plan's included monthly capacity.

Hosting, domains, paid plugins, licenses, stock assets, photography, advertising, ecommerce fees, and other third-party costs are separate unless a written scope explicitly includes them.

Useful questions before a project

Clarity before commitment.

The scope should answer the practical questions that prevent surprise: access, content, responsibility, hours, exclusions, verification, and what happens after delivery.

01How is work priced?+

Avian's labor rate is $50 per hour with a $100 minimum. A ready-content one-page website starts at $300, additional standard pages are commonly $100 each, repairs and refreshes start at $100, and Website Care starts at $100 per month. Larger and repeated-page scopes receive bundled custom pricing. Every quote states the scope, estimated effort, and maximum approved amount before work begins.

02Can you work with my current website and hosting?+

Often, yes. The platform, account ownership, backups, licensing, access, and present condition are confirmed before changes are made. A repair or refresh is not used as an excuse to force an unnecessary rebuild.

03How do you protect the current site before making changes?+

Avian confirms the relevant access, ownership, dependencies, working baseline, backup or staging path, and rollback needs before changing live behavior. The approved path is retested, and completed work, remaining limitations, and follow-up recommendations are documented.

04What happens after I submit an inquiry?+

Phil reviews the website problem or project goal, replies directly with any fit questions, and prepares a written quote when the work can be responsibly scoped. The website does not take payment, and no work or charge begins automatically.
